Reservation & Payment Policies
To secure your reservation, a credit card is required. Your card will not be charged until your stay, and you may choose to pay with an alternative method prior to check-out. By providing your credit card details, you acknowledge and agree that Sunset View Resort & Tavern is authorized to charge the card for the agreed rental amount, as well as any incidentals such as excessive cleaning fees, damages, or missing property.

 

Check-In Requirements
Each group must designate one primary point of contact. This guest should submit a complete guest list before check-in, along with the vehicle year, make, and model for all overnight cars, and the number of pets per cabin (if applicable). Please note that exceeding the maximum cabin occupancy will result in a minimum charge of $200 per cabin. This is a breach of contract and may lead to immediate eviction with no refund.

 

Cabin Care & Cleanup
Please treat the property with respect and leave your cabin in the same condition you found it. Do not leave items such as paper/plastic products, food, or ice. Please empty all trash—including outdoor cans—and remove any litter from the property or bonfire pits. Trash and recycling dumpsters are located next to the garage. Additional fees will apply for any broken or missing items, or if personal items and trash are left behind requiring cleaning beyond our standard turnover. Please keep all dishes and items in their original cabins.

 

Cancellation Policies

• 30+ days in advance: No penalty, though all cancellations will result in the forfeiture of your annual reservation (if applicable).

• Within 30 days: A 50% fee of the total reservation amount will apply.

• Within 7 days: You are responsible for the entire amount of the reservation, including cancellations due to weather, health, or family emergencies.

Pet Friendly Policies:

A $50 fee per cabin, per pet applies, with a MAXIMUM OF 2 PETS PER CABIN. Pets may not "crossover" cabins; for example, if your group books multiple cabins, having 3 dogs in one cabin and 1 dog in another is not allowed. 

 

Please note the following pet guidelines:

• Furniture: Pets are not permitted on furniture or beds.

• Leashes: Pets must be fully trained, properly restrained, and kept on a leash at all times when outdoors.

• Supervision: Pets must never be left unattended. Barking and other disturbances must be curtailed to ensure other guests are not inconvenienced.

• Tavern Access: Pets are not allowed inside the tavern.

• Waste Cleanup: Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Our designated waste removal area is located near the fish cleaning station and is clearly marked.

Additional cleaning fees will be applied if pet policies are not followed. When booking, please ensure you specify the exact number of pets you are bringing. Failure to disclose your pets will result in a $100 fine per undisclosed pet.

Weapons or fireworks are NOT permitted on resort property and if found will be charged a minimum of $100 per cabin, plus full cabin rental amount, and may result in immediate eviction with no refund.
